Why “The Far View" Farm

 

Over my 25+ years as a nurse and nurse practitioner, I have learned that it is the small decisions we make consistently over time that have the biggest impact on our health.  One of these impactful small decisions is to surround yourself with the beauty of nature. God has blessed us with this beautiful setting and the skills to grow flowers that bring joy.  Todd is an environmental science prof and together we think a lot about how we can live more sustainability over the long term.  We might not get everything right the first time we try, but a lot of small good choices over the long term we believe will make a difference.  We don’t always see the difference right away, but it is the far view that matters.  We hope it will make a difference for our friends and neighbors too as we get to enjoy growing things for our community that might make someone’s life a little better whether it is adding beauty to life through flowers, farm fresh eggs, or locally grown veggies
